Hell...if you look just the last 2 days: 7 starts, above-average ERA, above-average in K's, decent WHIP---0-4. LOL At 2010-07-21 07:45:54, Team Detroit wrote: No gentlemans agreement, those are the rules. That's why we have free agent Friday. A player goes on waivers and he's eligable to be picked up the following Friday. If two guys put in for the same player, the owner lowest in the standings gets him. This is a pretty standard practice throughout the whole fantasy baseball world, same with picking up free agent players on a 1st come-1st serve basis. I can't think of any competitive fantasy baseball leagues that do it any different, other than some leagues that bid for free agents with fake money...on the Friday following their release. At 2010-07-20 18:31:51, Luckless Pedestrians wrote: So for a league that has so many restrictions on how to complete a transactions - the waiver wire is on a gentleman's agreement that you don't send in for a guy a week early? Seems to be a bit of a disconnect here...but oh well. You live and learn. At 2010-07-20 16:02:34, Team Detroit wrote: Yep...That's what happens when you don't put out a 2nd option to the Commish, because there's always a chance that someone else is thinking the exact same thing you are, but thinking about it before you are. As it turns out, that's exactly what happened in this case. At 2010-07-20 11:31:45, Cheffies Champs wrote: AAAAARRRGGHHH!! I decide to sit Peralta and play Inge in his place and what happens?? He BREAKS HIS FRIGGIN HAND!! Now Im stuck for the week!!! Im gonna break my own fingers for makin such a stupid choice,,, thanks guys...just needed to vent....I feel better now... At 2010-07-20 10:33:22, Luckless Pedestrians wrote: So because Gonzalez was already picked up, the first part of my transaction is void? Where I swap a player on my active with a player on my reserve? At 2010-07-19 18:19:20, Team Detroit wrote: Because Mike Gonzalez is already on someones team. Message From: Luckless Pedestrians Sent on 07/11/2010 at 12:56 to Luckless Pedestrians LP transaction for 7.15 Activate Marcum from DL, drop Ely from team. Pickup Mike Gonzalez, add to reserves. Apparently after the Utley-Simon trade took 5 days to be rejected my pickup of Gonzalez was lost...BUT WHY DIDN'T MARCUM GET PUT BACK ON TO MY TEAM?? I'VE EMAILED AND EMAILED AND EMAILED... and now I would like an answer. Also I would like to APOLOGIZE to the Nosis Guys and anyone else I may have offended on these boards. I think message board stuff gets taken way out-of-context, especially when it becomes he said, he said.... Best of luck rest of the way.... Way before Cabrera emerged as a triple crown threat--and aside from HR's, Butler has similar numbers--at that time it was a great offer. Period. At 2010-07-17 17:47:50, Team Detroit wrote: You know Luckless, I sent you a private message and the more I think about it, I have to air this message out to you publicly. My Dad's unclassy because he calls out a guy who offers him anyone of his b-class closers and Billy Butler for Miguel Cabrera, after Danimals rudely calls his offers for Strasburg one-sided? Tenacity is a "Nosis?" I take offense to that, because Cacciatore knows he's no Nosis? lol...Cacciatore...You know you're not. lol Why don't you take your big mouth and shove it up I-wouldn't-roster-Cliff-for-my-life-Pennington's, butt. You talk about unclassy, you gotta lota nerve buddy. Calling people out because of fuct up trades is one thing. Having fun with people on the message board is another. But you get personal with people. You're the unclassiest guy in this league. None of us have problems with each other, but you. Danimals and I have beat each other in a couple of trades, he may not like me, but when I talk to him we're cool with each other. Cheffie's Champs and I barely make trades, but he traded me Lidge, I dropped him, he picked him right back up, and we talk weekly and respect each other. I give Cacciatore shit on almost a daily basis...he regularly calls me boobie...I don't call myself boobie...but we still make trades with each other and have fun with it. Hell, he's gone from bottom feeder to knocking on my back door, your too. You're the unclassy one, pal. I'm not going to call you any names, like when you emailed me at the begining of the year with 20 fuck words, or call you and your family unclassy, but get a friggin life. This is fantasy baseball. I've been playing in Boxscore since I was 11 or 12 years old, and no one has ever been as rude as you ever in my years. I've played with Tenacity, my Dad, Roundin Third, Beanball Madness, and I think even Merritt's Marlins several times, and I've never had any problems with them. Ask em.' I've played in almost every league Boxscore has to offer, with almost every owner Boxscore has rostered a team with, and you are the only one who insist on being a complete dick. If it's because I'm competing with you at this point for 1st place, I hope you win. Because winning a league isn't going to turn me into a giant asshole, just because I have competition. Good luck in the 2nd half!!!!!!!! At 2010-07-17 11:29:29, Fantasy Greek wrote: You just showed you class good job. You have been running on luck all season there are ways to take you down fast. You have just started a fucking war. Tell me what catagory you absoutly want to be destroyed in I will make the dumbist trades you have ever seen. Keep Holiday maybe he can hit 70 on the way out then you will not be last in HR. Talk about lopsided you offer Billy Butler for Miguel and then tell me look at the numbers. I just stay on course and keep everyone I brought to this point. Oh I almost forgot another W last night with no runs scored. But what about backup catcher Geovanny Soto, who's batting .333, with 2 HR and 10 RBI's since you traded him to me, for Jonathon Sanchez? No...I'll just keep Soto. lol At 2010-07-15 21:19:02, Fantasy Greek wrote: I have put three offers out for Strasberg if anyone else is interested let me know. At 2010-06-09 03:16:14, The Commissioner wrote: First, I want apologize for not taking the time to clarify our Waiver Wire rule to our new owners as I have always done in past years. I have so many experienced owners now that I've gotten spoiled and forget that not all of you have been members for the past 15 years. To clarify, listed on the Waiver Wire on your league homepage are all FA's who have been dropped in the previous week and in the current week. And a date appears next to each of their names to indicate when a player may be claimed. Please be careful not to claim waive wire players who were dropped during the current week! If you do, it will be necessary for me to go back into the website after wards and to reverse these transactions. You may only put in claims for players who were dropped during the previous week. If you have any questions about this rule please check your rules or contact the commissioner.
